I'd like to think this was the awakening of this team, but it's just as likely a microcosm of the season thus far. They have these occasional outbursts, and then they have the once-a-week games where they seem to be totally uninterested. You never know what to expect from day to day. We could sweep the Dodgers this weekend, or we could see a repeat of the Reds/Dodgers series at Riverfront in April of 2000 (yes, I was there for all three games).
I hope BP's insistence on moving to the 2-spot and his going off on a media member lit a fire under this team, but it's going to take more than one game to find out.
But statistically speaking, we on average beat them 6 - 4.67 each game, right?

I wonder if Bruce has it in him to make a run at Wally Post down the stretch.
I would be happy and impressed if he got about half of what he needs to catch Post. Would be happy to see him do better than that too.
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

The We're Good Again is what bothers me..... Reds only scored once more after Wainwright was pulled. So the nagging question in my head is.... are the Reds good again, or was Wainwright that awful? Their bullpen did a fantastic job of stopping the hemmoraging.... 1 more run over 7 innings is nothing to sneeze at.
I guess we'll see over the next few series. Maybe this win will ignite the fires.
