Sunday night baseball vs Dodgers
Sunday night baseball vs Dodgers
Must be that love affair thing has ESPN has for the REDS...
LOL, let's see. Will the nation watch the Dodgers-Reds? Or the Giants-Cowboys?
Hmmm.
Needed a sacrificial baseball game to get zero ratings.
^ I'll be watching the Reds. I'm a Cowboy fan but I would rather baseball.

I will probalby flip back and forth. The Reds game will likely be an important one, and the Cowboys/Giants will DEFINITELY be important.

Haven't watched a football game in over 3 years. I'll be watchin' 'dem Redlegs!

Baseball over NFL anytime

Bengals opener at 1, and the Reds at 8.
I'm cool with that

Football..... that is the sport that begins when the World Series is over, right?

The NFL sucks.
I'd rather watch an Astros/Marlins Spring Training game over the Super Bowl.

I'm a member of a message board that is dedicated to sports media (laugh it up) and there is a thread over there that has discussed this for weeks....which MLB game will espn choose as the sacrificial lamb that night? Thought process being no need to waste a good ratings draw as any MLB game will get slaughtered that night. Reds "won" the sweepstakes I guess.
Honestly, ESPN would be better off just skipping a week. The numbers will be humiliating.
As for me, the NFL game will be my main attraction that night--I'll either DVR the Reds and watch late night (I'll be up all night nervous about the Redskins playing Monday anyway) or flip over during commercials.
As much as I love the Reds, that Giants-Cowboys game is far superior in significance and intensity for obvious reasons. If you just don't like football, then of course you watch baseball. But even as big of a fan as I am of baseball/Reds, the NFL offers superior viewing that night IMO...and clearly millions and millions share my thinking, which is what continues to hurt MLB in the ratings game.
if the reds and bengals play at the same time, I would most likely watch the bengals (if itīs a big game for the reds etc. perhaps the reds)
if the bengals donīt play, I donīt care which game is on TV at the same time than a reds game..
One thing not to forget in all this is that ESPN will probably capture a large share of the L.A. market. L.A. doesn't have a football team so they have no stake in this game (except for Cowboys and Giants fans) but the baseball game could have an impact on the Dodgers winning the division.
