At about 4:30 in the audio clip, Harold Reynolds starts talking about the throw and his reaction to it.

Used to really love watching Gary Pettis play CF in the 80s. Don't know if there's any good video of him floating around out there, but he had some of the most spectacular HR thefts you'll ever see.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Best I ever saw was the White Sox 2nd Baseman that made the flying parallel to the ground catch-and-throw underneath his body to first.

Now there's a forgotten player. Gary Pettis. Was it he who jumped on top of a fence one time to take a HR away from someone?

I saw Andruw Jones throw a guy out at third from the warning track in the right field gap. No hop.
This was A ball in Durham, by the end of the month he was in Atlanta.

Bo was built like a tank, had the speed of Bob hayes, and an arm like Clemente. Best catch I ever saw was by another footballer, Kirk Gibson, at old Shea in the 88 playoffs. Playing on one leg in subzero snow/rain conditions, he slid accross half the outfield to make a catch.

Gibson also hit the hardest ball I ever saw live- as a tiger at old Yankee Stadium, line shot into the black centerfied bleachers. Gibson was a pretty good ball player.

Far out: that catch is on video:
