I looks like it was designed by the low bidder. It just personifies how nothing was better about the Reds in those days... absolutely nothing.

Good interview. LeCure seems like a very honest, down-to-earth person. Pretty funny guy too.

Exactly! It's amazing. The new guy looks professionally done and what you expect a mascot translated from the old Mr. Red logo would like look. It looks like a mascot you'd find in a Disney park.

The old one looks incredibly cheap and half assed. He just looks really uncomfortable mostly.

Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed that
". . . acquiring J. Blanton from Oakland for, apparently, Bailey/Cueto, Votto and a lesser prospect. I do it in a second . . . The Reds' equation this year is simple: Make Matt Belisle your #3 starter . . . trade for Blanton, win 85 or more, be in the mix all summer." - Paul Daugherty, Feb. 8, 2008

Great interview. Thanks for posting. LeCure is a very interesting guy. Seems well-rounded and level-headed and very grounded. Hate to say it, but unlike an awful lot of major leaguers.

And... he has a 50 yr. old brother and his folks have been married for 50 years. The man has deep roots.

I'll add him to my "ballplayers to have a beer with" list.

Pay attention to the open sky

He's also used a song by The Black Angels as his walk-up music the past few years. Both atypical and awesome.
