    Vladimir Guerrero retires

Vlad has quietly announced his retirement at 38 with a slash line of .318/.379/.553 and 449 career home runs.

    Is he a HoFer?

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

    He's got my vote.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Borderline. Career dropped off pretty quickly and post 33 he was pretty much a DH. Remember his cannon arm and always liked the guy though.

    IMO, definitely not first ballot.

Had no idea he was trying to come back the last two seasons. But, yeah, I'd vote for him.

Tough call. I'd say yes, but Dwight Evans goes in first.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I've never understood this thought process, either he's a HoFer or not. IMO, he is, pretty easily. would have loved to have seen his career without astroturf.

Nearly 2600 hits with elite peripherals and for a while, outstanding defense? I mean really, what else can you ask a guy for?

    Heck yes!

As an aside, I really miss the Expos. Damn you, Loria.

Did he announce it to himself? I think the rest of the world already knew?

I thought he'd been retired for a few years.

    But, yeah. No doubt HoFer.

I dunno. Is Brian Giles a HOFer?
