It worked in the sense they scored the run.

Considering the Reds were giving them the run though (infield back), it could be debated if it actually "worked" for them.
"The guy I think could be really good in center is Adam Dunn. If someone asked me if Dunn could be a center fielder for the next 10 years, if he started working on it, no one could explain to me why he couldn’t do it." - Brad Kullman

I want to make a joke about agreeing with Chris about Thom playing with dangerous chemicals, but there's no way to do it without being too dark.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I agree that making outs is always a bad thing, but if they don't bunt the runner over, that run never scores. I'm torn.

I wouldn't take too much comfort in these performances against Wainright.

This isn't the Wainright we all know.

Yeah, you never know...tough one. The only thing I'd say is assuming the run wouldn't have scored is to assume Jay wouldn't have gotten a base hit....which, for the most part, Jay has been solid against the Reds. Having said that...the sac worked and the Cards chipped away.

The Reds can never do anything worthy of praise, got it.
