Saw Rick Derringer at Ringo's 70th Birthday party at Radio City last year. Rick did an absolutely sensational Hang On Sloopy. Said it was Number 1 on billboard for a week, then got knocked off by "Yesterday". Said his parents still had the newspaper clippings to prove it. (Edgar winter was there too.).

The encore was Sir paul. Only time him and Ringo had been on stage together since the Beatles last appearance. They played "birthday" of course.

Saw Krisofferson before anyone knew him at my girlfriend's college homecoming. Went on stage with Kenny Rogers once. Surprised I didn't get arrested. Lots of stories too, but I'm not sure the statue of limitations laws

I appreciate Homer's passion. However, doing that basically telegraphs to the Cardinals' dugout that he's coming out.

Awesome game tonight. Homer, Parra, Chapman, Billy Hamilton's debut, Toddfather's clutch double.....I thought I was going to have a coronary at some points (not a fan of being in the ballpark when there's a pitcher's duel, LOL) but it was so much fun to be downtown tonight. Go Reds!!!

Dusty said in the post-game that he tried to deke out the Cards by lettin Homer go to the on deck circle. But the Cards saw right through that wily ploy.

    That crafty Dusty.

Yeah, the Reds won, but look at that low attendance! Losers!
This guy is a massive tool. I've seen him tweet about Cincy's attendance for at least a couple of years. It makes me mad that he is gainfully employed.

    That was one fun game.

Everything that made up that game on Tuesday is why I love baseball so much.

There were stories upon stories upon stories out there.

    Agreed on all accounts.

That said, we've had this conversation four consecutive years. Monday and Tuesday games, especially when school is back in session, simply don't draw well. Cincinnati is the second smallest market in baseball and a lot of its dedicated base comes from outside the city. People just aren't able to make trips up Monday-Wednesday.
