Be nice to see Hamilton face Chapman at the plate to decide this all important question. Do you suppose Billy could steal 1st against Aroldis or just pray for four balls before three strikes?

Chapman without a question at this point.

Great job to steal off Molina when they knew he was going to attempt a SB.
Did you see Molina look down at him and smile after the SB?

That throw was off. I am convinced that a good throw from Molina rings Hamilton up on that one. That is going to be a fun matchup for next few years.

Kind of hard for me to say if Molina had a chance or not.
Like someone said on the game thread.. did the throw appear to be a close call because Molina rushed the throw, thus the throw got there quick but not accurately? On the replays, I really couldn't tell.

Anyhow, your point is a good one. Molina is great at shutting down the running game and Billy H is great at stealing.. Will be a good matchup to watch over the next few eyars.

Welsh said that it was there in time because it was rushed. FWIW.

I agree...a good throw would have, indeed, nailed him. But, that's the thing about base stealers. Everyone in the park knew BH was going to try to take 2nd, including Molina. Molina knows the kid is fast and, I think, he knew he had to be quicker with the throw to get him. All of that had an impact on the throw. At least that's my opinion.

I can't wait to see Hamilton steal 3rd, while the opposing team is intentionally walking Votto.

Well, Chapman is a wonderful fully formed product and I've never been a fan of "fast" guys......but at Dayton, Billy Hamilton was the most electric guy I've ever seen. The way he affected the game was Un....be...leav....a...ble.

I'm glad I may get the chance to see both of them play at the major league level. If Hamilton continues to develop and can really hit major league pitching, we are in for a treat.

I was at the game last night. Hamilton didn't have a good jump when he took off for second, so you're right that a good throw would have likely nailed him. However, as we all know, Molina is difficult to rattle in that situation and routinely throws guys out. Yet, I believe Hamilton's reputation preceded him and made Molina hurry that throw, resulting in it being way offline. And when you have a guy that can do that to a catcher, that's a great thing.

Re: More exciting player: Billy Hamilton or Aroldis Chapman?

I was at the game last night. Wow, Billy Hamilton is definitely a bullet in the gun and I would like to see him make the playoff roster say over Isturus. (sp). Last night was the first time I was able to see Chapman live and it is electric. Both are very cool to have. I mean if Hamilton is 2 for 2 against Molina he's going to continue. He got a great jump last night. The first steal no so good, but still made it. Not sure why we put Hamilton in, tried to bunt, wasted Mez AB and took Luckwick who can actually hit out, but I'm going to stay on point with the question at hand. Chapman.
