Pokey. Just like "slim" is always a big fat guy.
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
Bailey CYA winner
Hamilton ROY & GG
He is 22 and is a thief ...on the basepaths.
"Billy the Kid"
"Boys, I'm one of those umpires that misses 'em every once in a while so if it's close, you'd better hit it." Cal Hubbard
I would like to nominate the nickname of
Déjà Vu or Déjà Voom if you want to include the speed element more overtly.
Not only is he the second super vast Billy Hamilton, but in his first two appearances, the exact same thing happened. Plus, every time he is on first base, you expect to see the same thing again, not to mention that every time he makes it to second, you know he is gonna make it to third one way or another.
As an alternative, since he is a Southern country boy from nearby Taylorsville, I was thinking about: The Mississippi Moonbeam... fast as light but he looks so calm and smooth doing it.
I like the RoadRunner. They can play the "Beep-Beep" sound when he steals...plus probably could have RR promotions too.

"Hyperbole is the greatest thing ever" Redsland
Willy May Hayes Hamilton.
Reds already have "Wild Thing" in Chapman. Just need Cueto to start sacrificing chickens before games when the team's in a slump.
"Man, the pitch looks fast, even in slow motion." Thom Brennaman on Chapman's fastball.
Blink, Flash or RoadRunner all good. RoadRunner's interesting since more unique but too many syllables. I think the best nicknames are just one or two syllables. He must have picked one up in high school or the minors, no? Someone in the media needs to ask him that.
Reds & Nats, 2013 LCS. Take2 (9/13) Reds but no Nats
Whatever Raisor says
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
"Es-Bee". Kind of like Concepción used to be Elmer.
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it."
