No, but some of the bashing of him here (not necessarily in this thread tonight) for 'only' hitting .300 with an insane OBP is ridiculous considering how unbelievable he has been for us since 2008. Disappointment I get, disdain I don't.

It's almost a certainty that he's going to go under the .300 mark in the second half of a season for the first time in 4 years and his power numbers are down. I think most people just want to know why he's struggling lately.

And even if they don't outright blame Votto, most people do it passively aggressively by constantly saying "Why can't Votto do this? Why can't Votto do that?!?" and completely ignoring the lack of production from other ares on the club.

The problem is All these othere players are nowhere near getting paid what Joey Votto is making. He was being paid to come up clutch which he has failed to do more times than not and now he couldnt even hit water if he fell out of a boat.
