Very exciting last week of baseball. I'm loving it. Playing good ball right now.

Should've been their 5th win in a row.

    Still loving it.

Well within reach. Win one of the next two, come out of this series only 2 back and I'll like our chances.

And just as Chapman blew away Ramirez to save it, Victorino jacked one to put the Red Sox up over the Yanks.

What a frickin' performance for us tonight. Votto back. Parra. Leake. The Missile. Love what this team is doing. To win this series, against the arguably best team in the NL riht now, would make a monster statement. Can't wait until tomorrow!

I think he might need nine more off now.

I'll be at the game tomorrow. Hopefully big Latos brings home another win. I can't wait to see the Big Red Machine reunited!

Most outgoing (not sure if that's the right word) interview I've ever seen from Votto.

Notwithstanding that Greinke and Kershaw are pitching the next two nights, I would expect that with Latos and Bailey pitching against them and the Reds being at home that the Reds are actually the favorites to win.

Fangraphs lists those pitchers WAR as follows, with their rankings in the NL in brackets:

    Kershaw -5.9 (2)
    Latos -4.5 (4)
    Bailey -3.9 (7)
    Greinke -2.1 (24)

Add in the fact that Bailey and Latos are a combined 14-3 at home.

The Reds actually lead the Dodgers in run differential by a wide margin +101 to +70.

They'll be tough games, but the Reds don't need to back down from anyone.

BTW, I think the reason that Chappy looks so well rested even tonight is that the last 4 games have been virtually effortless for him.

Wow. Would LOVE to be at that one but will have to make due with catching them in Pittsburgh week after next. You'll have to give us some Great 8 updates if you can. Enjoy it.

Now the Cards are hammering the Bucs. If I was a Pittsburgh fan, mindful of the last couple of decades and watching what STL and we both did tonight, I'd be very nervous. Can't really expect the Reds to go into postseason as a 2nd WC. The question is whether we can take the division and that'll likely come down to us and STL...yet again.
