    So Hamilton is electric

Enough said, the kid is a game changer. Teams better hope he never perfects all his tools.

75 runs and steals in AAA, even with a subpar OBP. If he can raise that OBP just a little-he could be the leadoff hitter the Reds have been waiting for.

Not to belittle the point, or Hamilton, but Choo is the leadoff hitter this team was looking for.

I don't think there has ever been any doubt over what he can do once he gets on base. The issue is getting there.

But, after just a couple of days you can certainly see the difference between him and Stubbs, Robinson, Taveras, etc.. once he gets on base. Only thing that comes close is when Deion would get on base.

Even just for now, he's a huge weapon.

A gift that is not admitted to exist, until seen in real time. Coleman, Wills, Raines, Davis, and a handful of others. Hamilton may be already in the club, unawares to 99% of fans.

3 PR and 3 stolen bases, that isn't the half of it the fact he is on base seems to rattle the pitcher. More so Tuesday and Wednesday than tonight we were struggling for hits let alone 2 in row but we got 2 in arow cos the pitcher seemed worried he was going to steal 2nd. I love the bloke the crowd loves him think i would love to see him pinch hit soon instead. I went to batting practice on Tuesday too he didn't miss a thing hit in CF too.

This point can't be repeated enough. It helps the hitters because the pitcher will make more mistakes, will rush his delivery messing with his accuracy, he'll shake off breaking balls and go with more FB's, etc. It's in the catcher's head too. He's jumpy back behind the dish, not giving a good target to the pitcher and is set up in poor form to receive the pitch. Defenders in the IF will be wanting to make their breaks towards the bag quicker and allowing for slightly larger IF holes for the hitters. The effects of a true base-stealing threat are really underestimated IMO.
Chapman to the rotation!!!! Do it already!!!!

Watching him pinch run is a lot of fun, but if he's going to become next year's leadoff hitter he needs some time at the plate. Stick him in center, and let Choo play left once in a while.

I wanna see what he can do with the bat against MLB pitching.

I wouldn't bat him leadoff yet. Stick him in front of Cozart or Mes.

Eh, Choo was/is a short term solution that will likely be gone after the season. Even if Choo is back next year, Hamilton will be the leadoff hitter IF he doesn't stink at the plate. Now that's a big if. But he won't have to be as good as Choo to be the leadoff guy. Not with Dusty around.
