    Could have been worse.
    "Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

    Latos got hit hard by everyone in the first, but escapes with giving up just one run. I'll take that as a good omen.

    Can Hanley win the MVP playing only around 90 games this season? I think he clearly is the league's MVP.

    Perhaps the offense needed to stop facing guys with a 5+ earnie....and get a shot at dudes with sub 3's to get going. This is crazy.
