Karros not as hard core old school as earlier portrayed. He applauds Votto on that walk.
"Man, the pitch looks fast, even in slow motion." Thom Brennaman on Chapman's fastball.

Bruce just not as disciplined a hitter as Votto. Swinging at 2 borderline pitches.

    damn
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

That is a dagger if Ludwick does not come through.

I don't think Bruce had a strike thrown to him there. K's on 3 out of the zone pitches.

Votto obviously should have expanded his strike zone and swung st that final pitch that was 20 feet outside.

Lud loves the first pitch. Fouls it off. Ellis and Greinke mound visit - having trouble getting it together.

Ludwick is swinging at 50% of first pitches this season. 28% is league average.
