Really odd. Gameday has the LOB at 16; SI at 10.

I said the other night that I agree 99% of the time with bunting there. If Votto or Choo are up, I'd probably not bunt. But like you said, Choo was against a left-hander, of which he is atrocious against normally. So yeah, I agree the common sense move there is to bunt.

Sounds like a beautiful play by Cozart. Can anyone who actually saw it confirm?

Read my explanation earlier. They're both right.

Spot on, IMO. I'd put money on it, Cedric.

Good job by Hoover. Lead off single and then shuts the door.

It was a very nice diving stab right up the middle. Caught the ball about an inch off the ground.

It's ridiculous is what it is. The Reds didn't lost the series because of Dusty Baker.

Some people have hated Dusty so much ever since he got here, they blame him for everything and can't give him credit for anything. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Goof ball on the mound for the Dodgers. I want a line drive right into the beard and have it get lost for a ground rule double. :O)

If Hamilton steals, unless Choo or Izturis gets him in, Votto will be walked and you are back to Bruce.

If Hamilton steals, Choo will try to bunt him to third guaranteed. Then PH for Izturis.

I have no idea why Hamilton wasn't brought in there.

Baker simply believes that when you need one run, you bunt the man to second. He thinks the odds are better that way most of the time.

This may be old fashioned thinking according to some, but it's his view. So he continues to do it.

I doubt there's anything more to it than that.
