That ball was taylor made for Puig to get an assist at the plate. No chance.

Choo has .330 OBP against lefties this year, and got hits against the last two lefties he faced. In that situation, power isn't needed, which is what you lose when you let Choo hit there.

I really don't like taking credit, but right before the game-winning single, I made a wish on a wishbone with my daughter and it broke evenly with the middle landing on my arm. I looked that up and it means that both people get their wishes.

My wish was that the REDS would win. Seconds after that, Frazier got his game-winning hit.

Sorry, go on with your day. I feel better now.
I never had any doubt that he'd be an MLB attraction but that was confirmed when he debuted Tuesday. I was at the game and had only seen the reception he got during his debut after being announced once before. And that was with Chapman. This kid is electric.

This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

    Better answer:

"All players on a club's MLB Active List (25-man roster) as of midnight (Eastern) on August 31st are eligible to be included on the club's post-season (LDS, LCS, or World Series) 25-man roster. Players who are on an MLB club's Disabled List, Bereavement List, Paternity List, Military List, Suspended List, or Restricted List (Prohibited Substance Suspension or extended Bereavement Leave only) as of midnight (Eastern) on August 31st are also eligible to be included on the club's post-season 25-man roster, but only after spending the minimum number of days required to be served by a player on that list. Players on the Disqualified List, Ineligible List, or Restricted List (for reasons other than extended Bereavement Leave or a Prohibited Substance Suspension) as of midnight August 31st are not eligible. Thus, as long as more than 25 players are eligible, the club's MLB Active List (25-man roster) can be "tweaked" prior to the start of each post-season series."

So, there is some nuance to "yes" in that we go back to a 25-man roster and Billy's inclusion would have to come at someone else's expense who was likely a material part of the 2H roster. All said, I of course agree Billy needs to be included for postseason. Dusty's comments at callup pretty clearly implied that wouldn't happen but he has to be reconsidering the plan now.

Pretty sure that Heisey made that attempt against the Cards all by himself.

I don't see how bunting with Hamilton on 2nd is an "asinine mission." Anything to the OF will score Hamilton with him on 3rd.

I thought bunting with Choo instead of running with Hamilton was really dumb, but bunting with Fraz made sense.

Nope, it's not sarcasm. The guy knows how to manage. People may not like it, but the results speak for itself.

O's also had a nice walkoff like us with a Markakis 2-run single in the bottom of the 10th over the ChiSox. Not an O's fan but can appreciate any team that pushes the Yankees more firmly into irrelevancy. Just like the Cardinals that way in my book. Only two teams in baseball I really despise.
