1 bit of bad news. We won't be seeing Carlos Marmol tonight. Shame.

Anyone still think is what a bad game for Bronson? On the other hand, our offense looks like they thought they won the world series yesterday.
"I talked to an advance scout that told me if Joey Votto and Albert Pujols were on the same team he'd advise his team to do the unthinkable...pitch around Votto to get to Pujols." - Buster Olney, ESPN

Will Neftali Soto K on 3 pitches? Let's find out.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

He's leaving balls in the zone right now.

I watch Travis Wood, and I continue to not understand how he retires major league hitters. His stuff just looks so hittable and he leaves so many pitches out over the dead center of the plate.

For a guy that can't break 90, that's usually death.

Travis Wood tearing the reds offense apart + Marshall on the DL all season gives me heartburn.

With nobody on, Dusty is taking a flier that Soto will hit a home run. Has power.

That's got to be the theory.

Might have used Heisey, but presumably is saving Chris in case the Reds have a ninth inning rally.
