    Full Reds Game From 1984

For anyone bored at home or work today here is a game from 1984. If you like old games this guy has a lot of great videos on his channel. Here is the lineup for the Reds that day.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlNqaE7qrGc

    Redus
    Milner
    Driessen
    Parker
    Gulden
    Krenchicki
    Oester
    Foley
    Soto

Also of note this Eckersley's first start with Cubs and Eric Davis makes an appearance. Harry Caray calling the action.

Man if MLB ever made these old games available for subscription I would pay a lot.

was this the game where Cey hit a ball way foul that the umps called a home run?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

This guy has put a bunch of old games on YouTube from the 80's mostly. But a few from the 70's. I don't know how long theywill be on there so youhad better watch while you can.

No reason MLB couldn't make these available on YouTube or some other venue.

Does not appear so. Just a single from Cey on this day.

Actually MLB does have a channel on YouTube. It's mostly geared toward the Japanese players. But it does have some older no hitters and post season games.

Yeah MLB has gotten better on the youtube front. But I'm guess I am crazy because I like the ordinary random games. You can see highlights of those special games all the time. These old regular season games you can watch and have no clue what is going to happen.

Actually you are right. Just got to that part. Called home run then over turned.

I'm the same way. I like to watch just an old random middle of the season game.
I watched an old TBS Braves game from 1982 a few days ago. It brought back a lot of good memories from watching Braves games back in the day.
MLB hasn't added any to their site in two years either. So it doesn't look like they are going to anytime soon.

Yep, I remember watching it as a teenager. What a terrible call, the ball was clearly foul.

This is somewhat unrelated, and there's a thread elsewhere on the board, but I'll add this here too. This is a link to some old-time radio broadcasts - some are the complete games. The Reds game is in Brooklyn, maybe the last season there. And the first Mets game features Gus Bell getting the first ever hit for the Metropolitans.

File it away for those cold winter nights when you just stare out the window and wait for spring (Rogers Hornsby!).

I bought this on Amazon a while back. It has a bunch of old radio broadcasts of games. Also has a lot of old pictures from the 1800's and early 1900's. Also pictures of old baseball cards that go back to the tobacco cards. Well worth your money for $6.99.

That (his temper) was his Achilles Heel. It kept him from reaching his potential as a starting pitcher
