talking heads said Cingrani has allowed one -- count them one hit to 79 hitters after he got them down 0-2 in the count -- that is obscene
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

I just came here to post that. Now it's 1-for-79. Wow! Are you kidding me?

Hitters are now 1-79 this year against Tony Cingrani when he gets ahead 0-2 in the count. That's an .012 BA, the lowest in MLB since 1988.

    That's ridiculous.

hitters are disadvantaged and avg are lower on 0-2 count but 1 for 79 is still just ridiculous

It looks as if we're all impressed with that stat.

If it was a video game I'd adjust something to make it more realistic

Luddy with a nice double. 2nd and 3rd with 2 out.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
