That's all on Votto. Where is his head?

I know he's not that great at it, but Joey should just slide, no matter what.

Whatever happened to "When in doubt...slide"?

I think Votto wants to win these games badly and may be a bit overzealous.

As long as he hits like today, it's ok.

Now I didn't see the play, but I'm assuming he got waved around to score by the third base coach and as the announcers tell me, Cozart wasn't signaling anything in regards to the incoming throw. So how is it "all on Votto"?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

It was almost infield fly territory, but Votto should've been able to easily score there right?

Edit: nvm, thought the bases were loaded and Votto was at 3rd for some reason

Let's just say his one fault is baserunning. And seems to do the same thing fielding on occasion. The good far outweighs the bad, though.

He might have been tagged out on a slide, but he should have slid. He ran right into the catcher's glove standing up.

I see today's game as a microcosm of the season's offensive performance. We are winning the game, but all the offense has come from 3 players. Just my observation.

Votto got tagged pretty hard at 2nd. If whomever tagged him is up this inning, I wouldn't mind seeing him get tagged by Chapman.

You run hard and slide, he had to know it was going to be close! Yea, he likely was out, but you never know.

    Just close it out Chappy!

In general, you're describing every game played by every team.
