    Countdown to 300/300

We just finished game 149. 13 games left.

Votto has 165 hits, 118 walks, 4 hbp. total on base: 287

Choo has 154 hits, 99 walks, 25 hbp. total on base: 278

Both players are still on pace but it will probably come down to the wire.

I'm not sure how probable Choo getting on base 20 times in 12 games is.

Well he's been on 280 times in 150 games (including whatever off days). That's a rate of 1.87 per game.

1.87 times 12 is 22.4. It's going to be close.

Choo's got some work to do! Hopefully he can get on base a few times tonight and make things interesting... if nothing else, lean into some pitches!

Lets get this back on track - 300/300 tracking remember? Find one of the hundred and one threads discussing this very issue with "Votto/walks/rbis/batting 2nd or not/borderline pitches-taking/Williams book". I know you guys are fairly new here so it's a new discussion for you, but this argument has gone and on and on and on many times before. If you really want to discuss it I have no problem with a new Sundeck thread for new guys to chime in. But you've hijacked this one.

Fair enough. Has it been confirmed that Choo is starting tonight? After missing the last two, he has some work to do to get to 300 with only 6 games remaining. Hopefully he can pull it off.

Pretty sure Choo is starting. These two missed games really hurt his chances.
