Cozart juuuuuuust missed unclearing the bases. Just a long sac fly. 3-0 Redlegs.

39 pitches and 3 runs scored

He should not make it out of the 5th.

Nice way to get things going against Gallardo - be surprised if he makes it to the 4th

Wonder if Cozart was using his sac fly swing or his grand slam swing.

What a great start. I'll be positively ecstatic if:

    1. We can keep the bats awake for much of the game and not go hibernate now.

    2. Come close to (or, dare I say, eclipse?) yesterday's run total.

People always seem to think when the Reds score early and then don't keep scoring it is because they put it on auto pilot for the rest of the game. In reality I think most teams probably do the same thing. I'm guessing it is more an issue of a pitcher finally finding his command or breaking ball after a rough start more than the offense just no longer trying.

1-2-3 Bronson. Love it. I hate giving back runs after a big inning.

I would agree completely but they worked and worked and worked Gallardo....we'll see if they attempt to work him now or "get him early"
