What the heck is going on up there?
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

Another walk. Reds playing with a lot of fire in the 7th and now in the 8th, getting close to being burned.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Not exactly....all 3 pick up a game on Atlanta, who lost, for the home field advantage. They may very well end up with the FOURTH best record in the NL

Yep, very true. I'm laser-locked on us going all-in for division crown but would be something for the Central's top 3 to all finish better than the Bravos. I'd like that.

Another mental error there. Somebody takes charge, that ball is caught.
