Ludwick was well within returning to 2nd base when he noticed Cozart barrelling into 2nd. At that time he ventured further off of 2nd.

That throw was just a little high.

I don't think Loek Van Mil could have caught that throw

Too many pitches for only 10th start of the year and coming off extended DL.

Dusty left him in to get the "W". I'd rather the team get the W and Cueto stay healthy.

Were you referring to the throw to 1B on Heisey's grounder or every ball Andy Dalton throws more than 10 yards downfield?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I just wonder if Pete is gonna leave his girlfriend for the Muenchens woman.

    They look too friendly.

I'll just have to take your word for it - I watched that replay on MLB.TV six times now and it just doesn't show enough field to see both players positions - you see Ludwick halfway between the bags as Cozart arrives at 2nd.His body language though is one of disgust - he knew he got hung out to dry, whether by himself or by Cozart, you can tell he wasn't happy

Thinking back a month or three, what would be more impressive? The fact that Cozart could end up with an above avg OPS for a SS or that he could end up with a higher OPS than Mesoraco?

That is a lot for the 5th inning. Still a nice outting....and glad he's back.

I watched it on mlb.com game cast...they link to the Reds broadcast. On the wide shot you can track Ludwick all the way.

I'm just glad he had a higher OPS than Kozma.

Eddie Brinkman could come out of retirement and have a higher OPS than Kozma
