Thanks, that's good to hear it's been changed a little.

MLB Network just showed his highlights. Looked pretty good though velocity maybe a bit low at around 93 but good movement and, of course, good results.

Choo nearly missing that final flyout to end the 8th gave me a bad flashback to last night's mixup with Bruce. Sort of like indigestion an hour or two after an excellent meal with a few too many beers...but different.

Someone just asked me why you use a .229 hitter as your DH. I had no answer.

    They both are correct IMO.
If I was Marty, I would of followed up by asking Dusty if we make it to the one game playoff would he consider THAT a must win situation?

Because he's .229 in limited playing time this season and better than any of the guys with better numbers? But, yes, I get the drift...the Reds have no one who really looks good as a DH...unless you play Choo as DH and use Heisey or Robinson for defensive purposes in CF?

However you are comparing a game against Houston 4.5 games up on a playoff spot with 12 to go against an actual elimination game. That would seem to be a silly follow-up to go from one to another there.

I'm struggling to see how tonight was a "must win" game.

I'd say that a lot of Redzoners are watching the Bengals game but it's does not feel like we are in a penant race on this game thread....

Good answer. I couldn't think of one. Pathetic bench? I hope they can spin Chris and someone else for a banger (I'm a dreamer).

There hasn't been much to complain about. You saw what happened when the baserunning error happened earlier. The game thread really explodes when the Reds struggle.

Any player who doesn't realize that a one game playoff is must win needs tutoring.

Choo and Votto each on base three times tonight. On base machines.

Phillips, Ludwick, Frazier, different kind of machines.

Rockies just took the lead bottom 7 over STL! Still just one out and two on. Now 2-1 Colorado. Especially sweet the go-ahead single came against Sure-Thing Siegrist.

Please be a good night for us. We deserve it.

Tonight, they're swinging for the fences...and missing.
