    Thing is the Reds need the Nats to be really hot and beat the Cards - better yet sweep them. That means the Reds need to stay hot and keep winning too.

    Regardless of the blowout, Heisey at .226-.272-.682 and Hannahan at .224-.327-.626 do little to help the Reds with the stick.

    He seemed to think his breaking stuff lacked "snap" and he might have been overusing the change-up because the curve might be hurting the shoulder.

    In his last 3 starts Mike Leake is 3-0, 0.84. His active scoreless streak is at a career-high 20.1 innings.
