If we get a lead, are we allowed to use Chapman? Aren't there rules in place against things such as cruel and unusual punishment?

All right, tie game after six. Not the worst thing.

4-3 Cards lead after six in Denver.

Logan's ERA ballooned to 4.17 after that inning. It was a fragile 3.99 for sure.

And, we get the 3rd out on a grounder 5-3 without giving up a go-ahead run. Something to celebrate there I guess. 4-4 into the 7th.

And, Rox clawing back now 4-3 top 7.

That is the Triple Ankle Bracelet. I mean AVG/RBI/HR.

Of course all his HR will be of the in-the-park variety. But I anticipate at least 97 of those.

Hard to sweep on the road, even against these guys. But the Reds took a calculated risk pitching Reynolds. This wasn't entirely unexpected with the decision not to use Latos.

But the Reds are still in good shape, game is tied, Hoover, Chapman, both rested and available.

Can we at least pipe down about the Nats now?

I wish Phillips would just be patient and put the ball in play instead trying to hit homers.

I'm feeling a bit less wiseguyish than I might normally given we're just tied entering the late innings. But totally applaud your ability to stay the path.

Because Parra would have to never give up a run the whole season for anyone NOT to dislike him......but just wait until he does give up that one run though...Oh you will hear it then.

    Re: 9/18/13 Reds v. Astros

    BTW on Parra:

First 5 innings of the season in April, he gave up 5 doubles and 2 homers to RH batters

Since that time, last 36 innings against RHB: 0 doubles and 2 home runs (both in one June game against Colorado)

Complaining about using him against right-handers is ignorant of how dependable he's been for the past three months

I am certainly tempting fate....I will take the blame if we lose.

For the record, I'm not complaining about Parra's performance. I'm complaining about how he was used.
