As I went to bed before Buntapalooza part 49, may I say now:
    Reds win!

7 1/2 hours at the ballpark. Is it possible to have too much of a good thing? Yes. Very much YES. :O) I'm really feeling last night today at work. Only a 16 hours shift today. No biggie. Ugh.

Surprise, I think you missed the point entirely in your quest to be the game day know-it-all thread police.

Let's try this again... With sarcasm font

Hoes beating down on the Reds again

I was feeling it on my 3-hour drive back to San Antonio. Had to stop at Buc-ee's in Luling for a caffeination break. I can't imagine putting in a day of work today.

Guy I sat next to had brought his school-age kid with him to the game. He said his wife started texting him at the end of the 9th to bring the kid home. He didn't. He left at 12:30 like we did. Hope the poor kid didn't have a test today.

I didn't realize you made it out yesterday Unassisted. Where were you at? I was on the 3rd base line, front row about halfway between the dugout and the outfield fence (section 110).

I decided on Tuesday afternoon that I wanted to go, so I went on Stubhub a scored a plum seat in Row 1 of Section 111, the next section out from home plate. Turns out that is the autograph-hounds area before the game starts. [edit] Here's a photo of the view from where I was sitting.

I noticed Section 110 seemed to have the most Reds fans of any in the park. I looked at parts of the game on MLB.TV and saw that some of the autograph seekers ended up in your section. I recognized a tall guy with reddish hair, wearing a Pete Rose jersey, who ended up there.

Did you notice how the big screens at the stadium never showed Reds fans and never showed replays of Reds defensive plays? It's like those screens are run by a propaganda ministry that refuses to acknowledge the existence of another team!

You were like 10 seats away from me. :O) And yeah, it's ALWAYS like that there. They never show replays of anything even remotely controversial (close plays) and certainly no highlights of the opposition. I see their point of view...but it's still dumb.

I was chatting most of the 2nd game with the Ondrusek's and quite a few relatives/friends of Jay. Really nice people. You can certainly see where Logan gets his height. His mom. She's close to 6 foot. Great lady too.

Anyway, last night was by far the least enjoyable nights of the 3 for me. Had 3 obnoxious drunk Astros fans sitting next to me all night. Completely clueless about the game. Constant questions amongst them about what a 6-3 was, or a P7, or "why is the K backwards?" Just non-stop. The sad part was the drunk guy trying to explain it but he clearly had no clue about ANYTHING. When they started slamming Mark Berry for standing in the coaching box and just calling him all sorts of garbage I finally told them about him just recently beating cancer...Kinda sad that's what it took to shut them up.

Ironically, the guy I was sitting next to was a Reds fan, who said Ondrusek was his least favorite Red. He said he used to own 6 locations of a famous chain restaurant there in Houston. Nice guy. Also a big Ohio State fan, so we had a good time discussing that, too.

I'm sure the Ondrusek family appreciated seeing Logan, since they made the trip.

Were those the guys who moved down to the front row of my section in the 10th inning? The security guard I had been chatting with is the one who tossed them. He heard over his radio that after he handed them over to be escorted out that they started getting belligerent with his supervisor, who he said is 6' 6" tall.

No, different group. I saw those guys get tossed too. He warned them twice...they had it coming. My three, they had seats about 3 rows back but moved to the front row in the 2nd inning.

Logan, Jay and Billy all had family there for all 3 games. Logan & Jay ALWAYS do. So did Stubbs and Janish regularly. And Dusty being Dusty, he's going to play guys who have family in attendance if he can. Just another aspect of him being a player's manager.
