Good grief Votto. That was the most routine play in baseball. Unreal. Guy has went from a Gold Glover to one of the worst defensive 1B in the game.

I see it's time to declare the end of the world again.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I can't believe the amount of easy plays he screws up in the field. I can't understand it.
Sure, it was big....but still plenty of game left to play. No point fixating on it. Let it go and move on. Just put up a crooked number right here.

Lost the ball on the transfer. Happens to the best of them.

I see you are in hero mode overreacting to reasonable posts. Nobody is saying the game is over. It was an obvious important play, that's it.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

I agree that the game isn't over. I just think in a game thread it's reasonable to talk about possible implications of such a big play. I have no doubts the Reds can still win this game.

Well at least Votto doesn't have to stay awake wondering if he will win a GG this year.

Sorry Cedric....I wasn't really directing that at you but rather at our Redlegs.

It's still true though. Homer has made one mistake pitch tonight and he paid dearly for it. Old Homer would have unraveled after the home run, but new Homer went right after the next batter.

    Reasonable.

He has had a rough year, but is he one of the worst first baseman in the league, especially going forward? (Not that you said that)
