Reynolds slated to start on Wednesday

This would have Latos on Friday, Homer on Saturday and Bronson on Sunday.

WC showdown on Wednesday....this puts Homer out of the discussion and Latos on 4 days rest.

Basically Reynolds goes on Wednesday if the Reds think they have a shot at winning the division by then. Otherwise, it's Latos. Translation... Latos is starting on Wednesday.

I agree...but also that baseball is so unpredictable. It's not crazy for Cincy to win the next 3 games and if St Louis loses 2 out of 3....what do you do?

Exactly. Which is why it's set up as it is. Hope for the best, expect the worst.

Any word on Cingrani? I haven't seen an update on him since he went down.

So if they end up tied with the Cards who would Dusty throw on Monday? Cueto or Leake?

Cueto with Leake on stand by.

I had heard he still feels discomfort, so he's not any closer to returning.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
