Funny, it tells me nothing except an uncle's view.

Wouldn't let Cueto hit here. Reds have pushed him far enough.

Yep. I didn't say it was novel. Just sharing the view. I'm not one of the Dusty bashers here but do agree with teh view. Davey Johnson has the exact same virus in DC.

Mes has had all the opportunity in the world to take hold of the position full time, yet regresses every time he looks to have taken a step forward.

I think nearly every big league manager trusts veterans more unless a young kid has Mike Trout type talent

Hard for me to see Cueto going out there again. He's been fine, but you just wonder if he has enough for the later innings.

Would hate for the Reds to fall behind in the game, hope Dusty is making the correct call.

I wouldn't have let Cueto hit. You need to treat these games as playoff games now.

I want to know if Cueto can handle the load in the playoffs. Send him back out.

    I understand the opposing view.

I think there's a ton of grey around that statement depending on the kid, the manager and the trend over time. Davey's as likely to make the mistake with youngsters who "remind him of [himself]" like Danny Espinosa as sticking with declining veterans too long (LaRoche).

Cueto has pitched well and isn't laboring. What's the problem exactly?
