Devin tags one but it stays up and Legares snags it. On to the third.

OT (sort of): one of the Reds bat boys looks Jesus-like (long hair & beard).

Latos hits Tovar. Dice K bunts him to second.

1 down for Eric Redskiller Young

Catchers still can't catch the ball.

Mesoraco seems to have improved somewhat but he really needs more work behind the plate.

He just seems to be not very good at catching the ball.

    Cost the Reds a run.

Phillips and Votto watch a slow roller go between them on a broken bat. 1-0 Mets.

Reds official scorer = on crack. That ball and one last night were easily passed balls that were scored wild pitches.

Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*

The Reds played the infield way in with the man on third. Then the Mets scored on a routine slow grounder that got through.

Mes caused the problem because he couldn't catch the passed ball.

Mets announcers critical of Reds infield in decision. We'll see if it haunts with infield back the run scores anyway.

Unfortunate. Now a line drive single off Frazier's glove.

I don't want to sound overly dramatic, but if the Reds with Latos starting lose to the Mets with Dice K starting I will probably set myself on fire.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

It's not BAD defense....just unlucky defense.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

Frazier drops a liner...this is getting annoying. First and second, one out. Latos, please don't melt down.
