According to Mets telecast, the last shutout by a Met in Cincy was Al Leiter in the one-game playoff in 1999. If I heard him correctly.

Hard to believe, has he had a couple of games where he got 10+?

Pirates didn't score in the top half of the 1st vs the Cubs.
    There's hope.

Let's get a lousy run, Cincy..
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

    Good job, Mat.

So much for the home field advantage.

Reds announcers are saying that Dice K is pitching illegally. That the rules state "when pitching from a windup or stretch that the pitching motion is to be one continueous motion." They said no stopping allowed. That the umpires say nothing unless the players or the manager complain.

Excellent outing by Latos. That was probably it for him. He's over 110 pitches.

How come we absolutely suck against terrible teams? I mean my god, the Cubs, Brewers, and Mets somehow shut down our offense. It is so frustrating watching/listening to these games.

At least we step up somewhat to the better teams. As long as we get past the WC game, maybe that is good for us to go deep into October.

I feel a Jay Bruce yak coming up. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

    willey is the right answer
Jay Hook was an electrical engineer from Northwestern
Roger Craig was traded for Charlie James and Fat Jack Fisher was woeful with the Reds, and gave up Maris' 60th home run
