Example #1 Latos. I don't think Latos has ever "checked out" of a game. I think sometimes he lets his emotions get the best of him, but that's not a "not caring' problem, that's a caring too much problem.
Trying to judge effort is a very slippery slope and most of the time people don't know what they're talking about.
As expected, Ludwick (sort of) apologizes. He also goes out of his way to prove he's a fan of the Reds. Talks about going to his first game, Eric Davis being his favorite player, etc.

I think y'all misunderstood my post. I didn't mean every night.
I meant every night deep into a pennant race (read: the last couple of weeks). I think it's reasonable to expect folks to turn out in big numbers the final 2 weeks of the season, no?!?
Maybe Mr. Ludwick will be our "Hunter Pence" of the Post Season.
* Attended the 1990 and 2010 Reds Division clinchers *
Watched the 2012 Clincher on FOX.
*Bat Votto SECOND, please?*
Well Ludwig, the game tonight was a sell-out and you went 0-4 with a K and GiDP. I noticed the crowd wasn't very loud for your at-bats... maybe your crappy performance was due to lack of crowd support. Gotta blame someone. Can't be you!!

Heck of a game Ryan!
2010 ran into a juggernaut Phillies team that was a terrible matchup for us.
2012 ran into a buzzsaw against the Giants, who also rallied from a 3-1 deficit against the Cardinals to win that series, but you never hear anything about how the Cardinals "choked."
2013 choking is what the Braves and Red Sox did in 2011. Qualifying for the playoffs does not equal choking.
