This game will not be available to watch live on MLB.TV, correct? I'd assumed so since it will be on TBS, but I've heard conflicting things about this.

I'm pretty sure this is correct. They offer a playoff package on MLB.tv, but, as I understand it, it's pretty useless unless you live overseas. But, I'd just make sure you read the fine print, because I may be wrong.

Re: Official Wild Card Pre-Game Thread

pretty comprehensive article here on the Liriano/Cueto matchup
    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...-game-offenses

note that the v-Liriano numbers below are career numbers, while the general vLHP numbers are only for 2013

    What I'd like to see:
    Phillips 2B (.333 OBP v Liriano; .328 OBP v LHP)
    Votto 1B (.333 OBP v Liriano; .377 OBP v LHP)
    Mesoraco C (2-6, 2 2B, 3 BB v. Liriano; .321/.386/.487 v LHP)
    Ludwick LF (4-9 v Liriano; .269/.321/.462 v LHP)
    Heisey CF (2-3, 1 HR, 1 BB v Liriano; .259/.316/.494 v LHP)
    Frazier 3B (3-9, 2 HR v Liriano; .236/.311/.471 v LHP)
    Bruce RF (0-11 v Liriano; .246/.291/.443 v LHP)
    Cozart SS .200/.273/.500 v Liriano ; .245/.275/.411 v LHP)

This leaves Choo available to pinch hit and double-switch in, and leaves Hamilton to pinch run or pinch hit from his more effective left-hand side

    What I expect to see:
    CF Choo
    LF Ludwick
    1B Votto
    2B Phillips
    RF Bruce
    3B Frazier
    SS Cozart
    C Hanigan

No way Mes starts...but really wish he would. We need as much offense as possible vs. Liriano.

Hanigan will catch Cueto. Mes will be good to have off the bench though.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

This game is on TBS ONLY. No other place to see it.

    Choo
    Ludwick
    Votto
    Phillips
    Bruce
    Frazier
    Cozart
    Hanigan
    Cueto

    That'll be the line up

I think people are over-simplifying the roster for this game. This isn't game 163, it's the playoffs. The rules for the playoffs count.

So as much as I would like to see both Hamilton and Robinson on the roster as well as Corky (give yourself the option to use your catchers in ways you wouldn't normally), the playoff roster rules still apply.

I just started dating this girl and requested her not to watch the game with me on Tuesday. Don't want her to see the real me.

If the Reds go deep into the playoffs, she will probably dump me.

Re: Official Wild Card Pre-Game Thread

Cueto has pitched a total of 12 innings since coming back. Against the Astros and Mets.

Does anybody have news on Latos's "injury." I did not hear about it until Cueto was announced as the starter. If he is "injured" to pitch Tuesday, is he still "injured" for game 1 of the NLDS? Seems to me he would be out of that series as well. Any news??
Not this year...maybe a Wild Card
