Props to the Cards and their management.
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

If you would have told me you had Kershaw going with a chance to force gave game 7, and you told me they got blown out, I'd say you were crazy.

I think Walt is probably stunned. He got Choo, he probably figured the Reds were finally ready. Only to see the Reds collapse at the end and the Cards go to the WS again.

The hope as a fan is that all this just causes Walt and Bob to increase their resolve.

Yep, this one hurts. Really hurts. Finally this was the Reds all in year and can't get past an embarassing play-in game. Zero series wins and two playoff game wins in the past 18 seasons. This was supposed to be the weekend all the pent up frustration since the 1990 Championship disappeared.

Worst part is the Cardinals are loaded for the next few years with tremendous payflex. Without the 4th/5th playoff slots it would be an uphill climb the next couple of seasons.

Only good thing is the Yankees of the NL aren't able to buy a WS appearance - at least this season.

I am convinced someone in STL soul their soul for the last 15 seasons...

i am tempted to take a banner to Reds Fest that says "When are the Reds going to stop being the Cardinals ugly stepsister and going to win a Championship??"

    Fixed it

8 LCS appearances in 14 seasons. It's not just a Reds issue...

Reds were last team to beat STL in a series, 3 out of 4 from Sept. 2-5. Cards have only lost nine games total since then.
Rounding third and heading for home...

I'd still like to know how randomness seems to not apply to this franchise.

Everything in the playoffs is a complete fluke, roll of the dice and coin toss - correct?

I use to think that the Cardinals were lucky more than they were good. Now I'm starting to think they're just really lucky to be so good. Either way there's a lot of luck is St Louis and it makes me sick.

Just depressing. I'm 22 years old and have seen a whopping 2 playoff game wins in my lifetime. One of my good friends is 22, and sees yearly deep runs.

If it weren't for kentucky basketball, I would swear off sports forever.
