They've sold their souls for good luck in the past, but this team looks like the work of a mastermind GM/scouting department.

That's kinda what I was saying although it's just not realistic that every prospect turns to gold or that every time you pick up an often injured or below average vet they turn things around. You can call it the work of a mastermind but I'm calling it luck.

Wasnt game 2 Kershaw's best outing against the Cards all year? Every time they faced off he got a L this year.

Yes. The cardinals dominate Kershaw compared to the rest of the league, and not just this season. I couldn't tell you why but they almost always seem to beat that guy or at least get him the ND. I haven't looked it up but i would bet his ERA is at minimum one run higher against the cardinals than any other NL team. Honestly, the propect of facing Ryu again scared me more than Kershaw, the cards can't hit that chubby slop thrower

Really strange, too, because - like the Reds - they often had all kinds of trouble with even pedestrian left-handers.

I think they clone ball players. They all kinda look the same.

    The Stepford Cardinals.

I have a feeling that there is little interest in game 6 Sox/Tigers? I'm gonna watch it off and on.

Uh-oh... The Cardinals didn't like how Victor Martinez reacted to that big 2-run 2B.

Prince has just been abysmal in the playoffs.

Win or go home....Scherzer stays in unless he says he's done.

Looks like it's going to be '67, not '68.

Scherzer got hosed by the home plate ump on the ball 4 call to Bogaerts. It was clearly a strike. Scherzer gets pulled, and the game falls apart for the Tigers. Too bad. I was hoping for a team I could root for. Not the Sox or Cards.

I left the bar and it was 2-1 Tigers.

I get home and its 5-2 Sox.

I should have stayed at the bar.
