I would be disappointed in the Reds needed a bland tweet from a relief pitcher to get up for the playoffs-especially a winner take all game.

Giving yourself an out in case the Reds win huh. In the prediction thread you said they would lose. Sounds like you think its more than 50-50 the Reds lose....jus sayin!!!!

Not to open a political can of worms, but Pittsburgh feeds and Pirates fans on twitter are thanking the government for shutting down so that America can devote full attention to the Pirates.

Buctober needs to last less than 24 hours.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

    They're really calling it "Buctober"?

    How annoying.

Idiots. I'm sure all those people who can't work today and might not get a paycheck for a while give a huge crap about how this game goes today.

Buctober? Seriously. The Tampa Bay Bucs are 0-4 and in complete disarray so maybe they will catch fire this month. Seriously, past time to put the Jolly Rodger to sleep for six months starting tonight.

This is the same annoying fanbase that also claims the Steelers so you have to take that as a baseline. The Pirates are like the forgotten family member that returns home after 20+ years and now everybody wants to be his best friend. I will say perfect timing for the Pirates with Big Ben & Company's 0-4 start and a couple of down years on the horizon.

Besides, the real Buck(s) are from Columbus.

That is why the one game wildcard is great.

Not that I really give a flying fig, but I'll go ahead and submit more bulletin board material.

Grant Brisbee of Baseball Nation writes an open letter to the Cincinnati Reds saying what the vast majority of people outside of the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan area are thinking: please, Reds, lose tonight.

I hope the guys come out and really put on a show tonight. Seems to me though they've been thinkin' about fishin' since the Scrubbs took 2 of 3 from them.

Won 5 of 6 in a week just two weeks ago, including 2 of 3 from the Pirates in their place. They had a down week with the bats at a noteworthy time. The cycle could have the at 'em balls, bouncers, and just miss fly balls turn into hits tonight. Guess we'll see.
