Well Im just the convo. But I would hope to assume many have said fire dusty by now. In which I would be in full agreement. Just a pathetic display of getting your team ready. Coaching your hitters into how to approach your ab's against a pitcher that feeds on throwing balls in the dirt. And most of all having a game plan set and ready to go if cueto doesnt have his stuff. Goodbye dusty. Long time coming but I have full confidence our owner will not hesitate on this one.

That's ok with me, though I've generally defended Dusty.

I just can't take another year of the non stop Dusty bashing.
Let's be honest...it makes ZERO difference who the manager is. The bashing WILL happen and it WILL be non-stop.

I will only abide Dusty coming back if he grows a beard and uses a fakey British accent for the entire season.

because hitting vs. liriano is the same like hitting against alfredo simon ;-)

They have a great pitching staff and a fourth of an offense. You can't win with that.
Agree except SS, Cozart will be good

Yeah, yeah, just trying to be a bit humorous with my frustration. Liriano is obviously a horrible match-up for Joey, but he's also the guy who is most counted on to do something to get us back in the game.

Would you trade Votto then? Small market clubs like the Reds need to follow the Oakland formula.

Anyone remember that 10 run inning vs the Cardinals and Wainwright? Sometimes the wheels fall off. Stick this thing out with me!

Don't let Liriano carve you up with 70 pitches in the first 6 innings. Make him throw strikes, work the pitch count.
This was at 12:30 today. He's thrown 73 through 6.

Problem is, the Reds just paid BP the kind of money that a 2B/SS in the prime of his career gets.

BP can likely duplicate this year's peripherals but it's going to be downhill after that.

I really think Jocketty/Castellini thought we'd win a WS either this year or next. That's really the only way I can defend the decisions they made.
