Love Price as a pitching coach, but if you've just fired a guy because of 3 playoff series losses, are you going to hire a guy who's never had a big league managing job to get you over the hump?

Castellini likes big names. Something tells me Price isn't going to be the guy.

Good luck to Dusty Baker, a guy I came to like during his time here with the Reds.

Eventually Walt gets what he wants. BCast is a fan first and an owner second. Hoping he finally is getting the message that you need to let the GM run the club.
It's absolutely pathetic that people can't have an opinion from actually watching games and supplementing that with stats. If you voice an opinion that doesn't fit into a black/white box you will get completely misrepresented and basically called a tobacco chewing traditionalist...

My early pick to replace is Joe Morgan.

Riggleman, you need a new guy who was not in our dugout this year.

Is Dusty a Reds Hall of Famer?
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

Morgan thinks too much instead of keeping it simple.

I really hope this isn't true. Joe Morgan the player was one of the best, but with the (lack of) knowledge Joe Morgan exhibited about advanced baseball statistics while on Sunday Night Baseball, I want him nowhere near managing the team.

I am on the Bryan Price bus, but if Castellini wants a big name, what about Larkin? I have no idea about his knowledge of statistics, but he is younger and at least hasn't shown me that he has a dearth of knowledge in the area.

I'm going to guess they'll go with a guy who's actually managed or coached before.

I love Morgan, but this past year his big initiative was to start selling red and white wine at GABP. Going from that to managing the team would be one heck of an upgrade.
