99% of all numbers only tell 33% of the story so when looking at the numbers remember that numbers is plural...

Bailey for Profar AND Scheppers? I immediately hire you as the Reds GM. Less enthralled with the BP trade - Wilmer will need patience (he's only 21 so no rush to judge but he struggled at the ML level) and Plawecki is a better hitting version of Barnhart but only at A+. Snydergaard is a big powerful arm. Great package for BP considering his contract heft, though.
Realistically I don't think you get either deal unless you add a good chunk of future salary for BP and Bailey alone won't get you Profar let alone he and Scheppers.

I think we could only get Profar for Bailey if Bailey and Rangers worked out an extension prior to the trade.
That being said, I'd do it.
Bailey has no reason to give up a chance to test the free agent market just to do the Reds a favor though.
I think we can only get Profar for Bailey in an alternate universe where Profar isn't an OBP monster and defensive whiz who has been the Rangers top prospect since he was 18.
