Pretty sure the Reds pay him to be a .900+ OPS Beast that scores 100 runs a year.

    So there is that.

Obviously, I worded my statement wrong. I meant to say that we could get a guy who could easily become our best power hitter and cost less than our current ones. Not to mention he is a righty, can be placed between Votto and Bruce, and is projected to be a 3B.

This moves solves a lot of issues if he pans out in the majors and we could move Frazier to LF or SS too and fix those holes. Either way we would have Frazier, Ludwick, or Cozart coming off the bench and be supersubs which is what we need too.

...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

It was a sarcastic question asked to BungleBengals who said we paid Bruce $10 mil for 30 home runs and Votto $17 mil for 24 home runs.

Reading a whole thread is good practice

I understand what you are trying to say, but hitting 40 home runs in major league baseball is never "easy." This guy has no track record, he is more likely to "easily" hit 20 home runs and strike out 200 times.

And like I said, I realize now that my statement was poorly worded.

MLBtraderumors is saying the Giants are making Pablo Sandoval available.

I don't think he would cost too much, and could be a very nice piece on offense.

I know both weight and defense are issues, but at this point the Reds simply need offense in the worst way. Pablo in GABP is very likely to put up a .350 OBP and .450 slugging.

Sacrifices on D, and maybe some personal issues may need to be made to remake this offense.

Can Frazier play second? He obviously would be a defensive step down from Phillips.

Frazier is now one of the finer defensive 3B in the game. If I had a vote I'd give him a GG this year. Doubt the powers that be will find any reason to move him away from a spot he's worked so hard at perfecting. My money is on him bouncing back with the bat next year too.

He played 39 games there and from all accounts what the organization learned from the experiment is that Frazier should not play 2B in the majors.

If the Mets can play Murphy at second, why can't Frazier play there?

Because that would give them 2 second basemen?
