Remember the Twilight Zone episode where Walt Jocketty builds a bomb shelter?

And they all made fun of him and laughed at the idea of nuclear destruction and then he won't let anybody else in when the time comes cause there's no room and they act like animals? A bit heavy-handed but still a pretty good. They should have listened to Walt.

Yes this post is incredibly stupid, sorry.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Exactly I think the only person Walt let in was Arturo de Frietas

If he hires Jim Riggleman, someone should tell them that manager's guidebook titled "To Serve Man" is a cookbook.

Now I'm imagining Joey Votto coming out in a suit before each game. "Submitted for your approval. . . "

Wear gaudy colors, or avoid display. Lay a million eggs or give birth to one. The fittest shall survive, yet the unfit may live. Be like your ancestors or be different. We must repeat!

My favorite part is when he let Jack Hannahan into the bomb shelter for no known reason.

what happened was that he sought the recommendations of other red stalwarts like Ed Crosby and Rafael Santo Domingo, both of whom recommended Hanrahan without reservation

Holy cow, the first time I opened this thread, I didn't really read carefully and I actually thought that was Walt. Not sure whether that's a testament to my poor reading skills, the likeness between the two men, or both.

I hope this isn't prophetic and Walt is taking this club to the basement.

Or Walt starts seeing creatures on wings of planes or wants to get off the train at Willoughby.

I bet you Joe Morgan would love to visit Willoughby especially in 1975 rather than the overpowering Jim Burton against whom he only managed a meager single
