So I guess Partsch is going to be exposed in Rule V.
I hope we don't lose him.

Earlier, I wanted DRob added, but I guess with Schumaker in the fold, that's not completely necessary.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

If Partsch is on the 40 man roster, he's not exposed to the Rule 5 draft.

Partch and DRob are already on the 40-man roster. They will have to make a move to add Schumaker.

Could we see a deal (possibly Hanigan and another piece or two?) to make room for Schumaker?

I would think they would prefer to do some type of trade to open the roster pot, instead of having to just release someone else from the roster, and hold onto the player they want to trade longer.

It's by far the best comparison I can make in terms of hopes for Duran's future. If he gets hot in AA or AAA at any point over the next three seasons, he can be flipped to an AL team in need of a DH.

Sorry, I misread. I didn't realize Partsch was on the 40 man.

Honestly I don't see why you add Duran. Would someone really take him and keep him on the roster all year? He isn't even close to being ready.

That's likely the slot for Shumaker, although I suspect other things are afoot.

Robinson was actually useful. No way would I keep LaMarre over him.

What are the chances Derrick Robinson clears waivers or do you think the Reds can trade him before the 10 days are up

Would you claim him? Teams probably all have guys similar to him.
