    2013-14 College Hockey Season

Anyone else here a college hockey fan? I figured I would start a thread now that my favorite team (North Dakota) is in the NCHC with Miami (OH). UND is rebuilding a bit this year, but hopefully we can still make the tourney. Should be a fun season!

The big conference shuffle will be fascinating. Will the Big 10 rush straight to the front of the line (it's got Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota)? And Notre Dame in Hockey East? That's blowing my mind. Boston University has a new coach for the first time in forever. And can the ECAC repeat its unexpected domination from last season?

Great game. Felt like Miami played better, but Gothberg came up big in the net for UND. Should be a good one tomorrow, Redhawk. I think these two teams are going to develop a great rivalry as they play more.

The NCHC is the No. 1 conference in the country, IMO. Lots of depth and no cupcakes.

I am really looking forward to this season. It was a good game, and I am hoping for a different result when I attend tomorrow. Will UND go with Gothberg tomorrow or do they rotate like Miami?

The plan was to rotate, but the other goalie, Clarke Saunders, was pulled after allowing 3 goals in the first 25 minutes of our first game. No one really knows who will be in the net tomorrow and Gothberg certainly made a great case for 2 starts tonight, but I think they will go with Saunders.

Turns out UND probably should have rotated last night. Sounds like Gothberg was awful. Got to give a lot of credit to Miami though, they came back very strong after a home loss. This was a great series, but it was kind of surprising that Czarnik, Barber, and Grimaldi didn't have more of an impact. Redhawk definitely chose the right game to attend!
