He's been with the team for four seasons and he's considered one of the best pitching coaches in the businesses. We probably know more about Price than most any other manager the Reds might have hired.

I know plenty about him as a pitching coach, but with that said, he hasn't managed a game. I can only speak for myself but that doesn't tell me much.

2. He's respected by the players.
3. He will emphasise pitching.
4. He knows the team and the organization.
