He's hitting north of .750 in the series, pretty much on base every AB anyway.

I was optimistic that the Wainwright might get touched up after the first inning. Doesn't look like that is going to be the case. Doing a good job just spraying hits.

Another former Red with a huge hit for the Red Sox as Ross doubles in the go ahead run

I miss Jonny Gomes :/ not really his play at the time, just his general excitement and personality.

Wonder how much he'd take to just be a cheerleader? I think that's his best attribute.

So McCarver and Buck just said that even though Molina missed the tag in Ross, Ross should be called out, because the glove was waiting for him. So follow the rule book to the letter, except when it helps the Cardinals. Got it.

Yep. I saw it and the replays were silent. Obviously a missed tag.

Replay next year will certainly be very interesting.

    They didn't really say that.

They just alluded to the fact that with no replay, the ump really has no choice but to call him out, with the glove being cleanly presented in front of the plate.

They're paying him $5M next year, I'm not sure how much of that is to cheerlead, how much is to get some hits off lefties, how much is to make easy plays in the OF look difficult, and how much is just back pay for that HR last night.

I know I'm in the minority, but to me the guy is over-hyped. Sort of like a strong Ryan Freel. Does things that make the fans cheer on occasion, but mostly is in reality simply not very good.
