    They beat the Cubs that year.. Hear that CUBS fans!! They had a jinx and they beat it, and you dogs were part of the lore... two time losers jeeze.

    Cubs played all the games against the Reds Sox at Comiskey, IIRC a lot of the proceeds went towards the war effort.
