The development of Mrs Krabappel was one of the key developments of the Simpsons. It took the show from just being able to focus on the Bart v Homer "fighting" inside the house to the Bart vs Mrs Krabappel outside of the classroom.
I did not really like the Mrs Krabappel epsidoes when I was younger but as I got older I appreciated her hopeless perspective more and thought her episodes were hilarious. One of the most underrated characters in television history in my opinion.
