It's true that there may not be any better evidence, but that doesn't necessarily mean his evidence is good or anyone should put a lot of weight on it.

Does it deserve more weight than random speculation offered on Redszone? Of course, but his speculation is really that and there's a world of difference between what he reported, and what he speculated.

What did he "speculate" on? Seems pretty clear to me that he presented his statements as fact, not as an opinion..
And you're saying that he lied.

The statement that some players took C. Trent's side was a fact. The statement that "teammates, lots of them, don't appreciate Phillips' style" is speculation.
He supports the speculation by implying that unless teammates didn't appreciate his style, they'd never take the "heathen" media's side in the dispute.

Because I don't believe that premise, I think the fact that some teammates took C. Trent's side in the dispute is not necessarily indicative that they don't appreciate Brandon's style.

    .
This is not a big deal to me. Just about every celebrity is different behind closed doors. So maybe Brandon doesn't love the fans as much as he appears to? Maybe he went to that kid's game as a publicity stunt to self promote himself? I don't know what Bronson was insinuating, but really, who cares?

Are we supposed to trade off every player that has a big ego? Because if so, I'm not sure there's much of a talent pool left to build a team.

You must admit, before this year, no one questioned Brandon's character, etc,etc.. Now there's all this inuendo, just because he wasn't diplomatic in a magazine interview, and Cast's big ego got bruised?

    Ok, don't you forget that

Sure, Phillips could've been more diplomatic, but he's human.
These writers and radio shock-jock-wannabees all think they are smarter than Dusty and the players and toss these passive-aggressive barbs all season. I can't understand why a player would get upset from time to time.

I think C Trent is a big boy and can handle a few curse words from an angry player. It didn't seem like C Trent was crying on the tape..
Heck, I bet C Trent loved it.. Just like an older sibling taunting his younger sister, he got the reaction he wanted out of Phillips. Phillips took the bait.

What's funny is that some people thought C Trent was making an innocent sabermatic discussion

    Ok that's fair enough.
